There are days when we hide
Our eyes in the shadows of
Makeup, sunglasses, mixed glances
We were meant to experience this
Sometimes we'd rather bury ourselves in books, food, work
Under covers, undercover
We laugh, we smile to make it all worthwhile-
We only let light into our lives
The divine white light; happiness mostly seeps into our bodies to mend the hurt, to heal the struggle
Remember this, suspended in time
We are fragile; we are one
In this life, we learn to love
To live in love. But darling,
