Leaves fall from the trees
The wind caresses their fall
I walk under the tree and watch them collect
One by one they fall, into a messy perfect pile
The wind howls sweet music in my ears
It's a cold, hollow wind- the kind that makes you want a hot chocolate
No one knows where you go when you're silent
Stuck in silence, stuck in space
There's a beauty in melancholy when you're walking alone on a crowded street
You can be anyone you want to be, no one will know the difference
The cold air pierces my face with each step reminding me I'm alive
Alive in spirit, alive in my body
The night relinquishes my thoughts and I'm back in my head
I walk down the street and lay under the trees
Catching the leaves and crumbling them in millions of pieces
I'm here, I'm okay, I'm alive
